Stop McDonald's Attempt to Redefine 'McJob'

McDonald's has launched a cynical public relations ploy to rehabilitate its brand image instead of making real positive change. The pioneer of low-road fast food employment has created an online petition addressed to dictionary companies asking them to change the definition of McJob. The current definition is:

"an unstimulating, low-paid job with few prospects, esp. one created by the expansion of the service sector."

Instead of increasing its poverty wage and droppings its hostility for the right to join a union, McDonald's has chosen the route of flashy public relations. Brandworkers International has launched an online counter-petition to assure the dictionary companies that the current definition is unfortunately still very accurate and to encourage them to rebuff McDonald's shallow PR effort. Make sure McDonald's doesn't get away with this outrage: Sign the Brandworkers counter-petition now.
