The Brandworkers Annual Holiday Party will be on Saturday, January 4th at 2pm, in celebration of Three Kings' Day.

Join Brandworkers members, staff, and allies to celebrate the victories of 2013 and kick off the new year in full force! We'll have music, piñatas, and a variety of food and drinks from our countries – delicacies such as tamales, pan de rosca, flan, and ponche. Bring along your friends and family to join in the celebration.

Exclusive: Celeb-loving organic bread company charged with abuse

With a surprise midday Monday march on management, employees are making public allegations of abuse at the hands of an organic bread company that claims Meg Ryan, Megan Fox and Whoopi Goldberg as customers. The company’s breads are sold by retailers including Whole Foods, Dean and Deluca, and Zabar’s, and at its retail locations in Manhattan; according to an August 2013 internal newsletter, “The Social Network” star Jesse Eisenberg’s ”Amy Bread favorite”  is “our daily pizza and a slice of our Yellow cake with Pink frosting.”

Queens, NY – Artisanal bakery workers at the large Amy's Bread production facility here were joined by foodies, community leaders, workers' rights activists, and fellow food production workers to kick off a campaign challenging disrespectful treatment, inaccessible health care, and wages too low to live on for many workers.
