I hope you'll demand justice for Nigel Haskett on your television program "Countdown with Keith Olbermann." Mr. Haskett was shot multiple times while working at McDonald's as he heroically defended a customer from a violent assault. Nigel miraculously survived his horrible injuries but now McDonald's is shamefully denying him the $300,000 in workers compensation that he is entitled to for his medical bills.
I watched with great joy as you shamed Wal-Mart for suing former employee Debbie Shank, who had been permanently devastated in an accident. As you forcefully pointed out night after night on your show, Wal-Mart sued Ms. Shank for the precious dollars she had remaining in a fund to pay for care for the rest of her life. Your reporting creating a national outcry on behalf of Debbie who had also recently lost her son in Iraq and Wal-Mart ended up dropping its suit.
